Independence, OH – A motorcyclist was injured in a single-vehicle accident late Monday afternoon on Interstate 480 West near the Interstate 77 South junction, according to local emergency scanners.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 PM when, for unknown reasons, the motorcyclist lost control and went down into the grassy median separating the highway lanes. Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene shortly after the accident was reported through local scanner traffic.
The identity and condition of the motorcyclist have not been disclosed at this time. Traffic was briefly affected in the area as first responders attended to the incident and cleared the scene.
