AIR QUALITY ALERT ISSUED FOR SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES UNTIL TUESDAY NIGHT

Monday, May 20, 2024 – The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory for ground-level ozone in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit Counties. This advisory remains in effect until midnight EDT Tuesday night.

Air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups during this period. If you are a child, elderly, or have breathing difficulties, please limit outdoor activities and check air quality readings at airnow.gov. Additionally, you can sign up for text alerts about air quality at enviroflash.info.

To help reduce air pollution in our region:

  • Don’t idle your engine; turn it off when parked
