Mansfield Teen Found Deceased Under Suspicious Circumstances

On November 19, the body of 16-year-old Trentin Isaac was discovered in Harrison County, approximately two hours from his hometown of Mansfield. Isaac had been reported missing on November 12. Authorities are investigating the case as a homicide and have addressed unverified social media claims related to his disappearance. The Mansfield Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Canton Officers Charged in Custodial Death

Two Canton police officers, Beau Schoenegge and Camden Burch, have been charged with reckless homicide following the death of 53-year-old Frank Tyson. The incident occurred on April 18 after Tyson was restrained and left face down, during which he repeatedly stated he could not breathe. The officers face third-degree felony charges, each carrying a potential 36-month prison sentence and a $10,000 fine.

Former Akron Officer Pleads Guilty to Child Exploitation Charges

Geoffrey Parker, a former Akron police officer, pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to child sexual abuse. The 34-year-old faces up to 65 years in prison after being convicted of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, among other charges. Parker is scheduled for sentencing on November 26.

Father Fatally Shot After Abducting Daughter

Charles Alexander, 43, was fatally shot by police after abducting his 7-year-old daughter, prompting an Amber Alert. The incident culminated in a police chase ending in Medina County, where Alexander was shot by officers. The child was found safe and returned to relatives.

Investigation into AI Tool Used in Criminal Convictions

The AI tool Cybercheck, developed by Adam Mosher, is under scrutiny after being used in over 300 cases, including the conviction of Adarus Black for the murder of Na’Kia Crawford. Concerns have been raised about the tool’s reliability and the accuracy of Mosher’s credentials, leading to an investigation by the Summit County sheriff’s department.
