Was The Myles Garrett Extension A Mistake?

My biggest point about Garrett was that despite his amazing ability, the position he plays of defensive end doesn’t necessarily allow him to dominate an entire game like, say LeBron James would in the NBA or even more so a quarterback on offense.

Because of that concept, I presented the idea that Garrett not being on the Browns wouldn’t be the end of the world. It’s not like the team was going to the Super Bowl for sure if he stayed or even going to win anything for that matter.

I was ready to prepare for a full-on rebuilding project here with the Browns over the next few years. The idea of Garrett not playing again for the Dawgs would help this process begin.

Of course, the news came this afternoon that Garrett signed the largest contract of any player who wasn’t a quarterback ever. It’s an extension to the two years he still had remaining. Continue to the article
