Officers responded to several calls for service this week, including an argument between contractors at Southpark Mall, a noise complaint in a residential area, a welfare check involving an intoxicated woman, and a disturbance at a local convenience store.
On April 3, police responded to Southpark Mall where two contractors got into an argument near Kyuramen restaurant. Mall security had the situation under control upon officers’ arrival, with one contractor leaving for the day.
On April 2, a resident on Drake Road reported hearing a “loud boom” but saw nothing unusual and still had power. Officer O’Sullivan checked the area but found nothing of concern.
Earlier that day, police conducted a welfare check at Chestnut Lake Building 3 after reports of a woman in a floral dress carrying an open wine bottle, without shoes, and having difficulty speaking. Officers were unable to locate the woman.
In the early morning hours of April 3, Sheetz security called about a group of young males allegedly concealing items and throwing popcorn in the store. Upon investigation, officers determined there was no theft as the group had paid for their items. The males left at the store’s request.
