Crowley’s Dive Bar Brings Fresh Dining Option to St. Clair Street
A new culinary destination has arrived in Lake County as Crowley’s Dive Bar Painesville officially opens its doors at 77 S St. Clair Street. The establishment, which specializes in smash burgers, is now serving customers seven days a week with expanded breakfast options on weekends.
Owner James Crowley expressed enthusiasm about joining the Painesville business community. “We’ve been planning this concept for nearly two years and couldn’t be happier with the location. Downtown Painesville has such character, and we’re excited to be part of its growth,” Crowley shared during the soft opening last weekend.
The restaurant features a casual atmosphere with both bar and table seating, accommodating approximately 65 patrons. Their signature menu item—the smash burger—has already generated positive feedback from early visitors.
“We use a special blend of beef that we press thin on a hot griddle to create those crispy edges everyone loves,” explained head chef Maria Sanchez. “It’s simple food done right, with quality ingredients and attention to detail.”
In addition to serving lunch and dinner daily, Crowley’s offers a weekend breakfast menu featuring classic American fare with unique twists, such as their bourbon-maple bacon and cornflake-crusted French toast.
The restaurant joins several new businesses that have opened in downtown Painesville over the past six months, contributing to the area’s ongoing revitalization efforts.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with breakfast service beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
