Security Guard Fires Shot During Assault at Downtown Strip Club, Woman Injured

A security guard at Power Cabaret strip club in downtown Cleveland discharged his weapon while being physically assaulted by multiple individuals early yesterday morning, resulting in one woman being injured.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at the establishment located in the 1400 block of St. Clair Ave. as the venue was closing for the night.

Cleveland Police reported that approximately seven to eight people attacked the security guard, who fired a single shot in response. The gunfire caused the group to flee the scene immediately.

Following the altercation, a 34-year-old woman arrived at MetroHealth Medical Center with injuries. Police are investigating whether her injuries are connected to the shooting incident.

“The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to determine the exact sequence of events and identify all parties involved,” said a Cleveland Police spokesperson.

Authorities have not yet released information about potential charges or arrests related to the assault on the security guard.

Power Cabaret management declined to comment when reached for statement, citing the active investigation.

Witnesses are encouraged to contact Cleveland Police with any information regarding the incident.
