Two adults died Friday morning in what the medical examiner’s office has ruled a murder-suicide on Meadow Brooke Way in Northfield Center Township.
Summit County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at 10:48 a.m. reporting gunshots at a residence. Upon arrival, they found Jerodd Jones, 48, and Angela Jones, 48, both with gunshot wounds inside the home.
Angela Jones was declared dead at the scene. Jerodd Jones was transported to Akron City Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
A juvenile female was discovered in the home unharmed and has been turned over to Summit County Children’s Services for care.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau and Medical Examiner’s Office investigated the circumstances surrounding the deaths before determining the incident was a murder-suicide.
