Summit County Board of Elections Opens New Location with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Community invited to tour the new Summit County Board of Elections office during Grand Opening event on July 15

The Summit County Board of Elections has officially opened its doors at a brand-new location: 1050 E. Tallmadge Avenue in Akron, Ohio. As of June 30, 2025, all voter services—including registration, absentee ballot requests, and candidate filings—are now provided exclusively at this new facility. The previous Grant Street office is now permanently closed.

To mark the occasion, a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Grand Opening will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 2:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and tour the upgraded space, which is designed to improve access, efficiency, and service for Summit County voters.

This move represents a major step forward in supporting fair and efficient elections in the region. The new facility is centrally located, ADA-compliant, and better equipped to serve both voters and candidates in upcoming election cycles.
