Hudson Police Report: Driver Citations, Property Damage and Domestic Calls

Traffic violations, open door checks and emergency responses

Hudson Police handled a variety of incidents from Nov. 4-10, including multiple traffic violations, property damage reports and welfare checks across the community.

Traffic and Vehicle Issues

Officers cited a 58-year-old woman for driving with expired registration at Corporate Drive and Darrow Road on Nov. 4. On Nov. 5, a driver was stopped for speeding at Stow Road and Ravenna Street and cited for operating without a valid driver’s license.

A 74-year-old Ravenna woman was stopped and cited for driving under suspension on West Streetsboro Street on Nov. 7. That same day, police responded to a crash on Hudson Aurora Road where the driver was found operating a vehicle with only a temporary license.

On Nov. 10, an officer stopped a vehicle at Middleton Road and Marblehead for speeding and failure to signal, discovering the driver was operating without a valid license.

In a medical emergency on Nov. 5, an officer stopped a vehicle on Valley View Road for speeding and discovered the driver was suffering from a medical condition. The driver was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police assisted with disabled vehicles on Nov. 9, including one at Seton Catholic School and another that went into a ditch on Walters Road.

Property and Civil Matters

Officers responded to property damage at a Winding Way residence on Nov. 5. On Nov. 8, a resident on Rachels Way reported a mailbox damaged by a delivery driver.

On Nov. 6, a suspect entered a residence on Omni Lake Parkway around 8 p.m. and disabled several smoke alarms, damaging all of them.

Police documented a civil matter on Nov. 4 regarding the placement of garbage cans on a neighbor’s property on Barlow Road.

Safety and Security

Officers discovered an open door at a business on North Main Street late on Nov. 4. Police also responded to reports of open doors at residences on Dunbarton Drive, Meadow Farm Drive and Woodspring Lane during the week.

A homeowner on Wessington Drive reported a suspicious male at his door on Nov. 8.

Other Incidents

Police responded to the Sullivan Road and Seasons Road area on Nov. 4 for a report of gunshots in the area.

Officers handled a domestic dispute on Scarlet Oak Drive on Nov. 5, with no violence or other crimes committed. On Nov. 8, officers responded to an alleged fight in the 5800 block of Darrow Road.

A mental health report was taken for a resident at Hudson Elms on Nov. 7. Police were dispatched to an assisted living facility on Barlow Road on Nov. 10 for a report of assault.

Officers responded to a 911 hang-up with no answer on Ravenna Street on Nov. 5. On Nov. 10, officers responded to a residence on Atterbury Boulevard for a juvenile complaint.

Police also spoke with residents about property and animal issues on Jesse Drive on Nov. 4.
