According to official records released by the Stow Police Department, officers handled 29 total incidents between June 23 and June 30, 2026. This weekly update outlines major reported offenses, emphasizing commercial property thefts and public safety violations across Northeast Ohio. Recent Shoplifting and Theft Reports in the Stow Police Blotter Property crimes and retail thefts made up a substantial portion of police activity throughout the final week of June. Kent Road Shoplifting: On June 23 at 4:15 p.m., officers responded to a commercial property on Kent Road and arrested a suspect for shoplifting theft. Just two hours later at 6:14 p.m., another shoplifting arrest occurred at a business along Kent Road, which also included a secondary citation for juvenile tobacco or cigarette use and consumption. An additional theft arrest was made on Kent Road on June 27 just before 11:00 a.m.. Hudson Drive Complicity: Officers responded to a theft report on Hudson Drive on June 25 at 8:14 a.m.. The case involved shoplifting alongside charges for complicity through aiding and abetting another individual; the case is currently marked as closed. Building and Residential Theft: On June 24 at 2:34 p.m., a theft from a building was reported on Stow Road and subsequently closed. Other theft complaints occurred on Hile Road on June 25 and on Norton Road on June 27, the latter of which remains an active investigation. OVI Citations and Traffic Enforcement Activity The Stow Police Department remains focused on removing impaired drivers from local roadways, resulting in several major traffic stops. Maplewood Road Stop: Police executed a traffic stop at the intersection of Maplewood Road and Darrow Road on June 23 at 7:38 p.m.. The driver was arrested and charged with operating under the influence and possessing an open container in a prohibited area. East Steels Corners Road Arrest: Early in the morning on June 25, a vehicle was stopped at 1:51 a.m. on East Steels Corners Road. The driver faced a litany of charges, including operating under the influence, speeding, possessing an open container, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A separate OVI incident was logged at the State Route 8 South ramp to East Steels Corners Road on June 30 at 1:40 a.m. Narcotics Violations and Public Safety Offenses Drug enforcement and physical altercations also prompted immediate police responses across various neighborhoods. Schedule I or II Drug Possession: A notable narcotics arrest took place near the intersection of East Steels Corners Road and Allen Road on June 26 at 3:58 a.m., where a suspect was taken into custody for illegal possession of a schedule I or II substance.
