Adoption fees are reduced to $28 (regularly $94) now through July 31, and all dogs are microchipped and fully vetted before adoption.

The promotion runs Wednesday, July 1–Friday, July 31, 2026 at Summit County Animal Control, 250 Opportunity Parkway in Akron; hours are Monday–Friday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Saturday 12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

What is included with the $28 adoption fee?
All adopted dogs are microchipped, fully vetted (including bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay or neuter, and vaccinations), and the fee includes a 2026 Summit County dog license plus a free collar and leash.
