AKRON, Ohio – Scheeser Buckley Mayfield, an Akron-based consulting engineering firm, has added two mechanical engineers to its staff. The hiring of additional employees was necessitated by increased workload and commitment to responsive client service. Meet the new engineers Lucie Doubet, of Canal Fulton, graduated in May of 2026 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mount Union. With a minor in art, as well as in math and physics, Lucie brings creativity to the design table. Previously, she completed two co-op rotations for a local manufacturing company and interned at an Akron architecture and engineering firm while in high school. Prior to joining SBM, Jacob Kittinger spent the last 5 years at a local industrial company designing custom-engineered AC switchgear and air-core regulator reactor systems. He graduated summa cum laude from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2021 and completed two co-op rotations. Jacob resides in North Canton.
