7 17 Credit Union Opens New Branch in Stow

AKRON, Ohio – Tuesday morning, 7 17 Credit Union cut the ribbon on its newest branch at 4420 Kent Road in Stow. “When we launched our branch expansion analysis several years ago, Stow kept coming up as a top choice,” said 7 17 CEO John Demmler. “When we found this site, we knew we had found something special. We fell in love with this location and, just as importantly, with the community around it.” Demmler was joined by Stow Mayor John Pribonic and his council, Stow Munroe Falls Chamber Executive Director Julie McLain, a representative from Rep. Emelia Sykes’ office and the community. “This has been a great day. We’re very excited to have you here in Stow,” said McLain. “Today marks more than a ribbon cutting, it celebrates 7 17’s expansion.” The Stow branch is one of three opened so far this year, linking 7 17’s new Akron branches to the rest of the credit union’s branch network in Kent, Ravenna and Canton. “Close to a year ago, 7 17 approached the city and asked to meet with myself, our economic development director and so forth to say ‘This is what we want to do.’ That’s really cool,” said Stow Mayor John Pribonic. “Finding out what our city is about and then how we could help them.
