Hudson Police Blotter: Missing Child Found Safe, Assault and Theft Reports Filed

Officers took reports on theft, assault, missing property and a search for a young child who wandered off with neighborhood kids. The child was found safe within hours. Assault Two separate assault reports were taken on West Streetsboro Street on July 25, both within a twenty minute window in the early afternoon. No additional details were released. Assist Other Agency Hudson Police assisted another agency on Sapphire Drive on July 24. Civil Matters Four civil matters were reported during the week. Officers responded to Omni Lake Parkway on July 23 and to Parmelee Drive that same afternoon. A civil report was also generated on Bradford Way on July 24 and on Bard Drive on July 25. Criminal Mischief Officers were dispatched to a Nicholson Drive residence on July 21 for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. Disorderly Conduct Police responded to Barlow Farm Park on July 22 following a report of disorderly conduct. Informational Reports Three informational reports were filed last week. A theft reported on Herrick Park Drive that same week turned out to be a misplaced item, which was located shortly after officers left the scene. On July 22, a resident called to speak with an officer about a dispute over a vehicle involving her adult son. Juvenile Complaint Hudson officers were dispatched to the police department on July 25 for a juvenile complaint. Missing Person A five year old child went missing on July 23 after his mother reported she could not locate him. Neighbors discovered the child had walked with other children to a nearby residence on Cambridge Drive. He was found safe and reunited with his mother, and units cleared the scene. Noise Complaint The Hudson Police Department responded to the Country Club of Hudson on July 24 for a noise complaint. Property Three property reports were filed last week. An unknown woman turned in a costume earring on West Streetsboro Street on July 21. A resident dropped off two keys at the police department that same evening. Officers also took a report for found property from a crash on I480 Eastbound on July 23. Suspicious Activity Suspicious activity calls came in four times last week. Officers were dispatched to Herrick Park Drive on July 25, followed by a call to Samson Circle on July 26. Later that night, officers spoke with a Stow woman at the station who reported a possible hitchhiker near Stow Road and Ravenna Street. A fourth call came from Hamden Drive. Theft and Larceny Theft reports were taken on Herrick Park Drive and Darrow Road, both on July 24. Trespassing Police found a twenty year old man from Cuyahoga Falls and a twenty two year old man from North Canton trespassing at a water treatment plant on Hines Hill Road on July 24. Welfare Checks Officers conducted two welfare checks last week. The first came on Darrow Road on July 22. The second was requested at The Danbury on Omni Lake Parkway on July 27.
