Solon Police Reports: Psychedelic Mushrooms and Loaded Gun Among Arrests

Solon police handled several significant incidents this past week, including drug-related medical emergencies and weapon charges following traffic stops. Drug-Related Incidents A 29-year-old Grove City woman was hospitalized Sept. 1 after firefighters found her incoherent next to her vehicle in the Solon Fire Station parking lot around 5:06 p.m. The woman was sweating and incoherent when discovered beside her blue Toyota. Officers found suspected contraband drugs in what appeared to be her purse, including suspected psychedelic mushrooms, a suspicious white powder and suspected LSD. The substances were recovered for analysis and possible drug possession charges. She is expected to make a full recovery and her vehicle was towed. Traffic Stop Arrests Na'cher Brown, 18, of Cleveland, was arrested Sept. 2 after officers discovered a loaded semi-automatic pistol during a traffic stop for window tint violations on SOM Center Road northbound near US 422 around 9:03 p.m. The officer smelled marijuana and observed a marijuana "roach" in an ashtray. Brown said she had smoked marijuana in the vehicle the previous day. When asked about weapons, Brown said she had none, but officers found the loaded pistol in the center console. Brown was charged with improper handling of a firearm, carrying concealed weapons and window tint violation. She received a warning for marijuana consumption in a vehicle. Addison Tisch, 27, of Aurora, was arrested Sept. 6 for operating a vehicle under the influence after being stopped for traveling 58 mph in a 35 mph zone on Pettibone Road around 1:40 a.m. Officers detected an odor of alcohol and noted his mumbled speech. After poor performance on field sobriety tests, he registered a .074% blood alcohol content, which is under the .08% legal limit. A urine sample was collected for additional analysis. Theft Cases Two women stole $659 worth of meat from Giant Eagle on Aurora Road Sept. 2 around 2:58 p.m., pushing a shopping cart out without paying before fleeing in a white car. At Sheetz on Harper Road, two packs of Corona beer were stolen Sept. 3 around 11:24 a.m. A suspect was seen taking the items before leaving in a white sedan. Officers have identified a possible suspect, a 50-year-old Cleveland man. Other Incidents A 41-year-old Solon man reported receiving a threatening voicemail message Sept. 7 around 6:20 p.m. He told officers he suspected he knew who left the message.
