Gates Mills Police Reports – Credit Card, Facebook Concerns, Truck Damage

GATES MILLS, Ohio – Credit Card Found – Gilmour Academy Ice Rink (12/21) On Dec. 21, a credit card was found at the Gilmour Academy Ice Rink. The owner was located inside the rink and the card was turned over to him. Suspicious Comments – Andrews Lane (12/22) On Dec. 22, an Andrews Lane resident requested to speak with an officer regarding comments made on her personal Facebook page. An officer spoke with her, assisted, and provided advice. Truck Strikes Low-Hanging Cable – Chagrin River and Berkshire (12/23) On Dec. 23, a Mentor Lumber box truck caught a low-hanging cable line while driving on Chagrin River and Berkshire, causing damage to the bed of the truck. A report was taken. License Suspension – Chagrin River and Brigham Road (12/23) On Dec. 23, a driver was stopped for a stop sign violation at Chagrin River and Brigham Road. The driver was found to be operating under a license suspension and was subsequently cited for both violations. A valid driver arrived and removed the vehicle from the scene. Mutual Aid – Mayfield Heights Police (12/24) On Dec. 24, Mayfield Heights Police requested a female officer to assist with a female in custody at their station. A Gates Mills officer responded and assisted. Warrant Arrest – Mentor Police / Gates Mills (12/26) On Dec. 26, Mentor Police notified Gates Mills Police that they were with a female who had an active warrant through Gates Mills. A Gates Mills officer responded and took custody of the individual. She was transported to Gates Mills, paid her traffic fine, and was released.
