Protection Orders: Violations Discovered During Stops and Calls Police narratives also included cases involving alleged protection order violations: Feb. 8: After a traffic stop, officers reported learning there was an active protection order involving the driver and passenger (with the passenger protected against the driver). The driver was arrested for violating a protection order and also faced driving under suspension allegations after officers reported a non-Ohio suspension and no valid Ohio license. Feb. 9: Officers dispatched to a call (reported as a 911 open-line) indicated they found an active temporary protection order in place after contacting those involved; the suspect was arrested and booked on a protection-order violation charge. Feb. 16 (AutoZone call): Officers dispatched on a suspicious-person complaint reported a K-9 free-air sniff produced a positive alert on a vehicle. During a search, police reported finding a baggie the suspect described as a form of heroin after Miranda warnings. Officers further reported the suspect later disclosed additional narcotics allegedly concealed under the sole of a shoe. Assault and Domestic-Related Cases: Group Home Fight, Sibling Dispute, and Bar Assault Report Ravenna police also documented several assaults, including incidents involving vulnerable individuals and family members: Feb. 10 (group home incident): Officers responded to a fight between two residents at a group home.
