Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jim Tressel launched the Heart of Opportunity tour today in Cleveland at Rocket Arena. The statewide tour celebrates Ohio's ranking atop CNBC's list of America's Top States for Business. Regional panel discussions will focus on opportunities to support ongoing economic and workforce success. Cleveland panelists included Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik and Team NEO CEO Matt Dolan. "CNBC named Ohio the number one state for business in 2026," DeWine said. "We have more jobs filled than ever in our history. Ohio is the third-largest manufacturing state. Unemployment is at an historic low. And while we are proud of these accomplishments, we will continue to work together to make sure every Ohioan can fulfill their God-given potential." Tressel emphasized that access to opportunities and training is critical moving forward. Team NEO Weighs In on Regional Growth Dolan praised the governor's economic development record in Northeast Ohio. Tour Continues in Youngstown DeWine and Tressel continued the tour Tuesday afternoon in Youngstown at America Makes. There are quality, stable jobs right here in Northeast Ohio where Ohioans have the opportunity to reach their God given potential." Tressel added that opportunity exists statewide.
