Ravenna Police Booking Report Spans Assault to Warrant Arrests

The Ravenna Police Department logged 37 bookings between Aug. 11 and Aug. 24, according to booking records released by the department. Charges spanned violent offenses, public order violations, drug possession, theft and a large number of outstanding warrants. No addresses were listed in the booking data provided by police. Violent Offenses Ravenna police booked one person on an assault charge on Aug. 13. Two domestic violence bookings followed, one on Aug. 16 and another on Aug. 18. A separate booking on Aug. 14 involved a charge of domestic violence for knowingly causing physical harm. In total, four bookings during the period involved violent charges. Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct Trespassing charges accounted for four bookings. A general criminal trespass charge was logged on Aug. 13. A charge for trespassing on the land of another followed on Aug. 15. Two more bookings for trespassing in a restricted area were recorded on Aug. 18 and Aug. 22. Disorderly conduct charges made up seven bookings across the period, the most of any offense type. Four general disorderly conduct bookings occurred, three on Aug. 13 and one on Aug. 22. One booking on Aug. 16 involved a charge of interfering with others. Two additional bookings, on Aug. 13 and Aug. 14, involved intoxicated conduct that caused annoyance or alarm. Public indecency accounted for one booking on Aug. 17. Officers also booked two people on liquor related charges, one for an open container on Aug. 12 and another for an open liquor container in a public place on Aug. 22. A single booking for obstructing official business occurred on Aug. 11, with a second booking on that charge following on Aug. 13. Drug Offenses Drug related charges resulted in two bookings. Police recorded a possession of drugs charge on Aug. 14. A booking for possession of a schedule I or II substance followed on Aug. 19. Theft and Protection Order Violations Theft charges led to two bookings, one on Aug. 11 and one on Aug. 19. A separate booking on Aug. 16 involved a violation of a protection order or consent agreement. Warrant Arrests Warrant arrests made up the largest share of bookings during the period, totaling 12. Two felony warrants from outside agencies resulted in bookings on Aug. 13 and Aug. 15. Three misdemeanor warrants from outside agencies led to bookings on Aug. 11, Aug. 19 and Aug. 21. Seven bookings stemmed from misdemeanor warrants issued by the Ravenna Police Department itself, occurring on Aug. 12 (two bookings), Aug. 14, Aug. 15, Aug. 16, Aug. 17 and Aug. 21. Booking records do not indicate the outcome of any case. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
