Twinsburg Historical Society Sets Olde Thyme Fayre for Sept. 12 and 13

The Twinsburg Historical Society will host its Olde Thyme Fayre this weekend at its barn on Darrow Road, offering a mix of homemade goods, craft demonstrations and family activities. The event runs Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 13, from noon to 5 p.m. It takes place at 8996 Darrow Road in Twinsburg. Ribbon Contest Open To Home Crafters Organizers will award ribbons for homemade and home crafted items as well as home grown produce and flowers. Everyone who enters receives a ribbon, according to the flyer promoting the event. Those who want to enter homemade items can bring them to the museum on Friday, Sept. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. Home grown items can be dropped off at the barn either Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Weekend Activities Planned Saturday's schedule includes a bake sale starting at 11 a.m., kids' crafts, olde thyme tools, a 50 to 50 raffle and several basket raffles. Robestos Food Truck will be on site, and visitors can try their hand at candle making. Live olde thyme music is planned for Saturday, along with demonstrations of weaving, quilting, spinning and finger knitting. A bookmobile will visit the site on Sunday.
