Ravenna Police Blotter: Domestic violence, drug and warrant arrests fill two weeks of bookings

Ravenna City Police booked dozens of people between Aug. 25 and Sept. 8, according to booking records obtained by NEOhio.news. Charges spanned everything from traffic violations to kidnapping. Ages listed reflect the person's age at the time of booking. Names and addresses are withheld under this outlet's policy for police reports. Aggravated Menacing A person age 17 was booked Aug. 26 on a charge of aggravated menacing. The same booking included a domestic violence charge alleging the person caused belief of imminent physical harm through threat or force. Disorderly Conduct Six bookings during the period involved disorderly conduct charges. A person age 16 was booked Sept. 4 for fighting or threatening. Another booking, involving a person age 38, came Aug. 25 for intoxication causing annoyance or alarm. A person age 45 was booked Sept. 6 for intoxication creating a risk of harm. That same booking also carried charges of operating a vehicle impaired and reckless operation of a vehicle. Three more disorderly conduct charges, all for an offensive gesture or noise, were filed against people age 45, age 12 and age 14, booked Sept. 3, Sept. 1 and Sept. 2, respectively. Disrupting Public Service and Domestic Violence A person age 35 was booked Sept. 6 on charges of disrupting public service and domestic violence. Two additional domestic violence charges were filed during the period. A person age 34 was booked Sept. 4, and a person age 39 was booked Sept. 5. The age 17 booking described above under aggravated menacing also included a domestic violence charge. Gross Sexual Imposition and Kidnapping A person age 35 was booked Aug. 28 on charges of gross sexual imposition and kidnapping. Police booked the same person again Aug. 31 on two counts of a felony warrant from the Ravenna Police Department. Juvenile Charges Three separate bookings involved juvenile specific charges. A person age 13 was booked Aug. 27 as a juvenile traffic offender, with additional charges for an offense involving underage persons and a signal light violation. A person age 14 faced a charge of unruly juvenile offenses Sept. 3. Drug charges involving a person age 13 are listed below under possession of drugs. Obstructing Official Business A person age 35 was booked Aug. 25 on a charge of obstructing official business. Open Container Liquor A person age 48 was booked Aug. 31 on an open container of liquor charge. Operating a Vehicle Impaired An OVI charge involving alcohol, drugs or a combination of both was filed against a person age 24 on Aug. 27. That booking also included charges for failing to yield the right of way at a stop or yield sign and violating rules for driving in marked lanes. A second OVI charge was filed Sept. 6 against the person age 45 already listed under disorderly conduct. Possession of Drugs Four people faced drug possession charges. A person age 13 was booked Aug. 28 on a general drug possession charge. Marijuana possession charges were filed against a person age 17 and a person age 16, both booked Aug. 25. A fourth marijuana possession charge, filed Sept. 8 against a person age 22, came with additional charges of resisting arrest and a felony warrant from another agency. Public Indecency A person age 27 was booked Aug. 27 on a public indecency charge for exposure. Warrant Arrests Warrants accounted for several bookings during the period. On the felony side, the age 22 person listed above under drug possession was booked on a warrant from another agency, and the age 35 person listed under gross sexual imposition faced two counts of a Ravenna Police Department felony warrant. Misdemeanor warrants from other agencies were served on people age 44, age 70 and age 58, booked Sept. 2, Aug. 25 and Sept. 3. Ravenna Police Department misdemeanor warrants were served on people age 30, age 62 and age 54, booked Sept. 2, Sept. 7 and Aug. 28.
