Dog Bites, a Damaged Township Camera and a Domestic Call Top Sagamore Hills Police Reports

Sagamore Hills police handled a mix of calls between Aug. 28 and Sept. 7, according to department incident reports reviewed by NEOhio.news. Two dog bites, a domestic dispute, a damaged township camera and a welfare check on an elderly resident were among the reports. A juvenile complaint, a psychiatric situation and a harassment case also appear in the records. The incidents are grouped below by category and listed by date. Juvenile Complaint Officers went to a home on Walton Road on Aug. 28 for a complaint involving a parent and a 17 year old daughter. The call was also logged as an assist to a rescue squad. The report did not list an arrest or additional detail. Animal Bite Reports A dog bite was reported on Aug. 31 on Sagamore Road. The bite had happened the day before. One resident was listed as the dog owner, and another woman was listed as the person who was bitten. A second bite was reported on Seiberling Drive. It happened in a yard on the evening of Sept. 5. The injured woman went to the police station two days later to file the report. Welfare and Mental Health Calls Police were sent to the area of McNeil Drive near Kiltie Lane on Aug. 31 for a report of a suspicious person. The call was classified as a psychiatric situation and an assist to a rescue squad. Officers checked on an elderly man on Walton Road on Sept. 2 after he was seen trying to flag down passing cars in front of his home. The call was logged as a personal welfare check. No further action was noted in the report. Property and Vehicle Damage A Flock camera owned by Sagamore Hills Township was found damaged near Olde Eight Road and Valley View Road on Sept. 4. The report listed the case as criminal damage, and the camera was marked as destroyed. A man driving a pickup truck left the roadway near Sagamore Hills Township Park on Sept. 5. The truck caused minor damage to the ground in a utility easement. The report also listed an offense for an open container in a vehicle. Domestic and Harassment Complaints A woman on Butterfield Circle asked officers to file a report about a domestic situation on Sept. 5. Police were already on scene helping with an unrelated escort at the time. A married couple on Charlotte Drive reported being harassed through phone or text communications by a man who lives out of state. The report, filed Sept. 6, was linked to a separate case number from earlier this year.
