Ohio AG Wants to Hear About Your Good Deeds

A new campaign from the Ohio Attorney General's office is putting the spotlight on generosity. Andy Wilson announced the Heart of Kindness initiative this week, calling on both residents and law enforcement to report good deeds happening across the state. Why the Timing Matters The push coincides with the nation's 250th birthday year. Wilson said the goal is to recognize the small, often unseen moments of connection between officers and the people they protect. "Here in Ohio, we know one of the best ways to build stronger communities is pretty simple: kindness," Wilson said. "We want to hear about your good deeds and celebrate the generosity that makes Ohio the Heart of Kindness." The Kinds of Stories the AG Wants Police officers often step outside their usual duties to lend a hand. Changing a stranded driver's tire, saving a loose pet or showing up to volunteer at a local event are the kinds of moments the office hopes to collect. Community members have their own ways of returning the favor too. A cup of coffee for an officer, a handwritten thank you note or shoveling a parking space clear are all examples the AG's office pointed to. Submitting a Story and What's in It for You The office is working with Kindland to run the program. People can send in their stories at OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov/Kindness or by email to Kindness@OhioAGO.gov . Some entries will be featured on the attorney general's social media accounts.
