Gates Mills Police Respond to Neighborhood Alarms On April 14, the department received a call regarding a persistent alarm sounding on Robinwood Lane. Upon arrival, officers discovered the noise was emanating from a mini excavator parked in a residential yard. Because the homeowner was not present at the time, officers left a detailed message to ensure the equipment was secured and the disturbance resolved. Later, on April 17, a 911 hang-up was tracked to the St. Francis Parish Office. Police confirmed the call was accidental, traced it to a misdialed number, and verified that no emergency was occurring at the location. Inter-Agency Cooperation with Mayfield Heights and Chester PD The Gates Mills police frequently provide specialized support to neighboring jurisdictions. On April 15, a female officer from Gates Mills traveled to the Mayfield Heights station to assist their department with a pat-down of a female subject. On April 16, officers assisted Chester PD in locating a woman whose phone was pinging near the intersection of Battles and County Line Road. The subject was successfully located according to Chester authorities. Welfare Check Conducted on Main Street Community care remains a priority for the department. On April 17, a concerned resident requested a welfare check for a friend living on Main Street who had become unreachable. Officers arrived at the residence and made contact with the woman, who was found to be safe. She informed the officers she would contact her friend immediately to resolve the concern.
