Despite his efficiency, a first-inning two-run home run by Twinsburg’s Shobert proved to be the difference. Nordonia’s offense was led by Canzoni, who went 2-for-3 at the plate, and Roth, who drove in the team’s lone run. High Scoring Action in Nordonia Varsity Sports Softball The Nordonia Varsity Lady Knights struggled to contain the Solon offense in a 14-8 loss that featured 10 hits from the home squad. Nordonia showed resilience early, fighting back from an initial deficit to take a 7-5 lead in the third inning following an RBI single by Ritchie and a ground out by Nyce. However, Solon surged ahead with a five-run fifth inning. Key performers for the Lady Knights included Kovi, Smeal, and Nyce, who each tallied two hits, while Shirey and Henderson contributed two RBIs apiece.
