STOW, Ohio – The Stow Police Department handled a variety of calls during the week of January 20, 2026, ranging from retail theft and telecommunications fraud to several arrests for operating a vehicle under the influence. According to the latest media report, officers responded to 31 total records during this period. Theft and Shoplifting Retail theft remained a frequent issue along the Kent Road corridor. On January 20, officers responded to shoplifting reports at businesses in the 4300 block of Kent Road. Later in the week, on January 23, two separate shoplifting incidents occurred at a business in the 4200 block of Kent Road; one resulted in a warrant being issued while the other led to an immediate arrest. Additionally, a theft from a motor vehicle was reported on Tall Grass Circle on the morning of January 24. Fraud and Harassment Identity fraud and telecommunications crimes were prevalent this week. Reports of identity theft were filed by residents on Stonebridge Crossing, Darrow Lake Drive, Graham Road, and Norman Drive. In these cases, victims reported that personal identifying information was used without consent. On January 20, a harassment complaint was closed involving a resident on Fishcreek Road, and a separate telecommunications fraud case was initiated on Stonebridge Crossing. OVI and Narcotics Arrests Several proactive arrests were made regarding impaired driving and drug possession. Early on January 21, an individual was arrested in the 3300 block of Kent Road for operating a vehicle under the influence and possession of Schedule I or II drugs. Another OVI arrest occurred on January 21 near Graham Road and Country Club Drive, where the driver was also cited for an open container and failure to control. A third OVI arrest took place on January 23 at the intersection of Graham Road and Baird Road. Property Damage and Trespassing Officers investigated criminal damaging reports on Kent Road, Graham Road, and Millburn Court. In one instance on Kent Road, a vehicle accident resulted in damage to real property. Trespassing issues were also addressed, including a solicitation violation on Kent Road on January 21 and a criminal trespass report on Graham Road on January 24.
