Ohio Prep Sports Media Association Announces 2025 Divisions IV-VII Boys Basketball All-Ohio Teams

The Ohio Prep Sports Media Association (OPSMA) revealed the 2025 All-Ohio boys basketball teams for Divisions IV, V, VI, and VII on Wednesday. These prestigious selections recognize outstanding regular-season performances from players across the state.

Division IV Honors

Zanesville Maysville’s Gator Nichols was named Division IV Player of the Year. The 6-foot junior averaged an impressive 26.4 points per game, leading the First Team selections. Demetrius Johnson of Warrensville Heights earned Coach of the Year honors.

The Division IV First Team also features standouts like East Liverpool Beaver Local’s Owen Hill (22.3 ppg), Jefferson Area’s Anthony Covetta (29.0 ppg), and Youngstown Ursuline’s Jaylen Gunther (22.3 ppg).

Division V Standouts

Cleveland Heights Lutheran East’s T.J. Crumble claimed Division V Player of the Year. The 6-foot-8 junior dominated with 26.3 points per game. Jeff Warstler of Gahanna Columbus Academy was recognized as Coach of the Year.

Other Division V First Team selections include Minford’s dynamic duo of Myles Montgomery and Bennett Kayser (both averaging 24.3 ppg), along with Coshocton’s Colton Conkle (26.2 ppg).

Division VI Achievers

New Madison Tri-Village’s Trey Sagester earned Division VI Player of the Year honors. The 6-foot-3 junior averaged 23.0 points per game. Mason Lang of Woodsfield Monroe Central was named Coach of the Year.

Notable Division VI First Team members include Ashland Mapleton’s Scotty Hickey (26.3 ppg), Toledo Christian’s Karter Koester (25.6 ppg), and Ashland Crestview’s Justice Thompson (25.5 ppg).

Division VII Excellence

Willoughby Cornerstone Christian’s Quinn Kwasniak claimed Division VII Player of the Year with an outstanding 37.9 points per game average. Russia’s Spencer Cordonnier was honored as Coach of the Year.

The Division VII First Team also features Delphos St. John’s Cameron Elwer (28.2 ppg), Warren JFK’s Nick Ryan (26.9 ppg), and Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy’s JayMear Davis (24.8 ppg).

The OPSMA will announce the Divisions I, II, and III All-Ohio teams on Thursday, completing the boys basketball recognition for the season. The girls basketball All-Ohio teams were announced earlier this week.
