Motorcycle Rider Seriously Injured in Green Crash

A 27-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision with a car in Green on Sunday evening.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. on April 20 at the intersection of Mayfair Road and Heckman Road. Deputies responded to the scene along with the Green Fire Department.

Investigators report that a 2017 Nissan Sentra traveling southbound on Mayfair Road attempted to make a left turn onto Heckman Road when it collided with a northbound 2011 Suzuki motorcycle.

“The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries,” stated the Sheriff’s Office. “He was transported to an area hospital by the Green Fire Department.”

The driver of the Nissan did not sustain serious injuries in the collision.

Officials noted that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Summit Metro Crash Response Team is continuing to investigate the incident. No charges have been filed at this time.
