Man Arrested on Felony Warrant at Garfield Road A man was arrested on April 22 at E Garfield Road on a felony warrant. Officers took the suspect, Alvin Hernandez, into custody at 09:32 hours after confirming the warrant through Portage County Sheriff’s Office. Officers transported him to the county jail without incident.
Vehicle Owner Arrested After Traffic Stop On April 27 at 00:23 hours, officers stopped a vehicle on N Aurora Rd/Treat Rd. The driver, Jesse Kisner, was cited for driving with a suspended license. Records showed his driving status was suspended, and he was issued a citation.
Welfare Checks
Welfare Check Conducted After Concerns About Child Officers responded to Thornhill Dr on April 22 at 17:48 hours for a welfare check. A concerned grandmother requested officers check on her grandchild as the mother was reportedly intoxicated. Officers found the mother was indeed intoxicated and arranged for the child to be safely transported to the hospital. The child’s father was contacted and given permission to pick up the child.
Toddler Found Walking Alone on Aurora Road On April 28 at 19:15 hours, officers responded to N Aurora Rd where a small child, appearing to be 2-3 years old, was found walking in the street. The child had a possible medical condition and was non-verbal. Multiple people assisted in helping the child, who was wearing pink shirt and leggings. Hokka Wok staff took the child inside until officers arrived. The child was ultimately turned over to her father.
Domestic Incidents
Physical Altercation Reported at Moneta Avenue Officers responded to Moneta Av on April 22 at 22:26 hours for a reported domestic dispute. The caller reported male and female subjects physically fighting in the front yard. Upon arrival, officers identified the parties involved. No threats were reported, and one party left for the night.
Suspicious Activity
Suspected Drugs Found at Campus Facility On April 23 at 13:12 hours, officers responded to Campus Dr where a manager reported finding what was believed to be drugs in a ladies’ room. Officers met with facility staff in the lobby to investigate.
Suspicious Vehicle Reported on Aurora Road Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle at N Aurora Rd on April 28 at 08:44 hours. The vehicle had been parked on the property where police had previously arrested the driver. The 2012 Hyundai needed to be moved for parking lot repairs, and arrangements were made to relocate the vehicle.
Theft
Packages Stolen From Porch During Homeowner’s Vacation A resident of Nancy Dr reported on April 23 at 17:39 hours that multiple packages were stolen from their front porch while they were on vacation. Officers gathered information for a report.
Miscellaneous Complaints
Drone Privacy Complaint on Eldridge Road On April 24 at 11:17 hours, a resident on Eldridge Rd reported a low-flying drone hovering over her vehicle. The complainant felt it was a breach of privacy and reported that a neighbor was selling property and appeared to be taking aerial photos for an online listing.
Boat Sale Signature Forgery Reported On April 26 at 14:43 hours, a man came to the police station reporting that a boat he had sold had transferred ownership, but the new owner was forging his signature. Officers advised that seven hills PD would be contacting the complainant to follow up.
Missing Person Later Located Officers responded to Moneta Av on April 25 at 17:47 hours regarding a missing person. The caller reported their son had left early that morning and was not answering his phone. The juvenile was on probation and had no clothing description available. After numerous attempts to contact the juvenile, police received word via text message that he had been located.
