The Stow Police Department responded to 28 incidents between April 15 and April 28, according to the latest weekly report log. The cases ranged from shoplifting and fraud to drug possession and domestic violence.
Theft/Larceny
Kent Road continued to be a hotspot for shoplifting with four separate incidents reported at the 4303 address. On April 15, officers responded to a theft complaint that was later closed. Another shoplifting incident on April 23 resulted in an arrest, while a third case on April 25 also led to an arrest. Additionally, a theft with criminal trespass occurred on Hudson Drive on April 27, resulting in an arrest.
A more serious theft incident took place on Northview Drive on April 26, involving a stolen firearm or dangerous ordinance. This case resulted in an arrest, according to police records.
Drug Offenses
Officers encountered a narcotics case on April 22 on Sherwood Drive involving heroin possession. The following day, police issued a warrant for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and receiving stolen property at Lakepoint Corp Drive.
Juvenile Complaints
Multiple juvenile incidents were reported throughout the week. On April 25, authorities arrested a juvenile for truancy at Graham Road, while another juvenile was arrested at the same location for tobacco use. A curfew violation led to an arrest on April 26 at Kent Road, and an unruly juvenile was arrested later that same day at another Kent Road location.
Fraud Cases
Several fraud cases were reported during this period. On April 22, officers responded to an identity theft complaint on Orchard Drive. Another identity fraud case was closed on April 23 on Hiwood Avenue. Telecommunications fraud was reported on April 26 on Bent Tree Lane, and again on April 23 on Kenneth Road.
Disorderly Conduct
Two separate disorderly conduct incidents involving intoxication resulted in arrests. The first occurred on April 23 at Kent Road, while the second took place on April 27 at Bridgewater Parkway.
Notable Incidents
A domestic violence case was reported and closed on April 22 on Ritchie Road. An assault investigation remains pending from an April 23 incident on Graham Road. On April 28, police responded to an aggravated menacing report on N Norman Drive.
The week concluded with a significant traffic incident on April 28 on Fishcreek Road, resulting in multiple charges including operating under the influence, driving under OVI suspension, failure to control, weaving, and failure to maintain full time attention.
