Lorain police officers had their hands full last week responding to several serious incidents resulting in multiple felony arrests across the city, according to police reports from April 25-29.
In what appears to be the most significant case of the week, officers responded to a robbery on West 20th Street on Tuesday evening. The incident resulted in multiple arrests including individuals identified as Messiah Green, Royalty Killings, Isaiah Ferguson, Deshan Hunter, and Zabriel Clark. Police filed supplemental reports and made at least two arrests related to this case.
Drug enforcement also remained a priority for the department, with several narcotics-related arrests. On Tuesday, officers conducted a drug investigation on East 29th Street leading to arrests involving Keith White and Frankie Bailey. Another drug investigation on Marshall Avenue resulted in the arrest of Angelica Levenhagen on Friday. Additional drug-related incidents were documented throughout the city.
Vehicle thefts continued to be a concern for Lorain residents. On Monday, officers arrested Eric Johnson, Sparkle Carey, Emmanuel Duncan, and Moses Rembert in connection with a stolen vehicle on Elyria Avenue.
Several domestic violence incidents escalated to arrests, including a case on Ivanhoe Drive involving David Calvert, and another on West 17th Street resulting in the arrest of Travis Buchanan. Domestic disturbance calls remained one of the most common serious incidents requiring police response.
Police also executed multiple felony warrant arrests throughout the week, including operations at West Erie Avenue and Murray Ridge Road. Several traffic stops escalated to arrests when officers discovered outstanding warrants or other violations.
While these serious incidents required significant police resources, officers also handled hundreds of less severe calls throughout the week, including traffic violations, noise complaints, welfare checks, and property disputes.
