Narcotics Cases
May 4 – Traffic Violation Uncovers Drug Evidence During a routine traffic enforcement action on Darrow Road near Speedway, officers arrested a local resident on multiple violations. The individual was driving with only a temporary permit and had an outstanding warrant through TPD. When police conducted an inventory search of the vehicle, they located a white rock substance and marijuana. Charges included felony drug possession and permit violations. The suspect was booked into Solon Jail with bonds totaling $7,500.
Retail Theft
May 1 – Convenience Store Theft Results in Arrest Staff at the BP station on Darrow Road contacted police about suspicious behavior involving two individuals. Officers responding to the scene determined one person was involved in taking merchandise without payment. Items included various candy products such as Reese’s items, Swedish fish, and a Twix bar. A Boardman resident was taken into custody on theft and intoxication-related disorderly conduct charges.
Impaired Driving
May 2 – Speeding Driver Charged with OVI Police conducted a traffic stop on State Route 82 near Canyon Falls Boulevard for a speed violation. The driver, a Brecksville resident, acknowledged consuming alcohol before driving. After completing field sobriety evaluations, officers arrested the individual for operating under the influence. The suspect received a May 7 court appearance at Stow Municipal Court and was released on personal recognizance bond of $1,000.
Outstanding Warrants
May 7 – Multi-Agency Warrant Service Macedonia Police contacted TPD regarding a bench warrant for an Akron resident. The individual was processed through Macedonia’s municipal court system before being transferred for video arraignment in Stow Municipal Court.
May 2 – Expired Registration Reveals Warrant A traffic enforcement stop on Darrow Road for expired vehicle registration led to the discovery of an active assault warrant from Warrensville Heights. The Streetsboro driver was transferred to Warrensville Heights authorities and issued a citation for the registration violation.
May 1 – Walking Violation Leads to Arrest An officer observed a pedestrian in the roadway on Ravenna Road and recognized the individual as having an active Macedonia PD warrant. The person was arrested and turned over to Macedonia authorities
