The City of Cuyahoga Falls announced that CSX will conduct scheduled maintenance on the Broad Boulevard train tracks from Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 13.
The railroad company will remove and replace track sections that cross Broad Boulevard during the 12-day closure period. The road will be completely closed between the Tallmadge Road and Newberry Street intersection on the east side of the tracks and the State Route 8 on and off ramps on the west side.
City officials said detour signs will be posted throughout the area in advance of the closure to redirect traffic around the construction zone. Emergency services have been notified of the planned road closure.
