The month closes with many reflections on Financial Literacy during Financial Literacy Month in April and Mental Health Month in May.
The Firm Foundation Wealth Seminars focus on the Money Mindset. During the last seminar, the room was full of laughter at the comments about what individuals’ Money would say about them and how the psychological and mental aspects are the foundation blocks to the wealth journey.
- “She likes to hold on to me.”
- “She spends, spends, spends.”
- “I can’t get enough.”
- “He is always trying to make me grow.”
- “She has me in many pots.”
- “He loves food.”
- “She always helps the family.”
- “He loves me.”
- “Don’t spend it all in one day.”
- “Why is he so tight with me?”
The main discussion topics were financial wellness and financial capacity to improve our money mindset. Let’s take action: Pause, identify, clarify, and evaluate our relationship with Money. Ask yourself whether your wealth position connects with your spiritual journey. W.E.A.L.T.H
W – Wisdom
I will not live in lack, for the Lord is my Shepherd, and I find provision and peace in His wisdom. I walk in God’s guidance, trusting He supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory. I reject fear and scarcity and embrace the wisdom to steward, sow, and speak life over my destiny. Because I follow His way, I lack no good thing.
Mental Moment – Master Your Mind, Master Your Money
Money and wisdom are powerful tools, but they serve different purposes in life. Money can provide comfort, access to opportunities, and the ability to meet our needs, but without wisdom, it can be easily misused or lost.
Conversely, wisdom teaches us how to earn, manage, and spend money wisely. It helps us make sound decisions, avoid unnecessary risks, and find value beyond material wealth. While Money may offer temporary satisfaction, wisdom offers lasting guidance. Combined, they create a strong foundation for a meaningful and successful life.
Wisdom with experience, knowledge, and sound judgment “Lord, give me wisdom to see beyond the moment, courage to act with understanding, and humility to follow Your way.” Today, I choose wisdom over impulse, truth over illusion.
Spiritual Moment – Wealth in the Bible, God as the Source of Wealth
In its purest form, Money is a spiritual tool—a reflection of the heart and a test of stewardship. It is not evil nor holy but becomes what we assign to it. When handled with wisdom, integrity, and purpose, Money becomes a vessel through which blessings flow—feeding the hungry, supporting vision, building legacies, and honoring God. Accurate spiritual alignment with Money means recognizing that we are not owners but stewards of divine provision. When our hearts are aligned with faith, generosity, and responsibility, money multiplies in our hands for others, too.
“But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.” Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV) Wealth is not inherently evil if seen as a blessing from God. However, wealth should not become an idol or a substitute for trusting God.
Story Moment – Life Application
My brothers’ voices all speak the same sentiment: My mother told my brothers to read the Book of Proverbs to gain wisdom and understanding. I remember this frequently echoed in our household. After diving into the Book of Proverbs, I learned many powerful instructions for understanding the principles of Money and godly living. Please read and pull out the scriptures that can inspire you in wisdom with Money.
Speak Life: Proverbs Speak Out Aloud Moment
I will expand my thinking, sharpen my strategy, and steward with wisdom. I am building financial capacity that creates a legacy! I am increasing my wealth capacity. I will think bigger, move smarter, and manage all I will build for legacy, not just for life. Proverbs 10:22 says that the blessing of the Lord brings wealth without painful toil for it. I have the power to prosper.
Money Tip: Windfall Wisdom
A windfall is an unexpected gain or good fortune, typically involving a sudden influx of money. It is not a planned event; therefore, use it wisely, such as paying off debt, investing, or saving rather than spending impulsively. In spiritual or moral terms, handling a windfall can reveal one’s values, stewardship, and mindset about wealth.
Examples of windfalls:
- Winning the lottery
- Receiving an inheritance
- Getting an unexpected bonus or settlement
- Finding valuable property or assets
Money Tip: Wealth Window
The wealth window refers to a strategic period of opportunity in a person’s life or financial cycle when one is in the best position to build, grow, or preserve wealth. It aligns with a period of high income, minimal obligations, or access to capital and opportunities. For example:
- Ages 25-45 when income potential rises
- After paying off significant debts
- After receiving a windfall or inheritance
During this window, your choices have amplified impact—investing, saving, or starting a business can create long-term financial freedom. Like a window, it won’t stay open forever. Missed opportunities or poor decisions can close prematurely, while wise action can extend or maximize it.
Action Plan: June 1 – June 30, 2025 Budget Account Audit
Where is your money going? Needs or Wants: If your Money could talk, what would it say about you? For Example, Extra Money In the Account Total 1500.00
Intentional Giving – Where can you give this month?
I live with wisdom and love, led by God’s Spirit, not by pressure or pride. I give where God leads, knowing that generosity is a seed with purpose. I give cheerfully and freely, trusting that God multiplies every gift for His glory and my good. As I give, I do so with discernment, understanding that faithful giving reflects God’s heart and advances His kingdom.
