LENOX TOWNSHIP – Timothy Adams, 42, was arrested around 3:45 p.m. Monday following a manhunt that began after a fatal shooting earlier that morning in Ashtabula County.
Sheriff William Niemi said deputies received a 911 call at 6:11 a.m. from a home in the 3500 block of SR 46 in Lenox Township. When deputies arrived, they found a 62-year-old man dead from a single gunshot wound.
Adams had been considered armed and dangerous after fleeing the scene in a red 2006 Ford Explorer. He was later identified as 42-year-old Timothy Adams of Jefferson, Ohio, and was taken into custody Monday afternoon without incident after a manhunt that lasted several hours.
The victim’s name has not been released. Adams was wanted for aggravated murder in connection with the shooting that occurred outside the home.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office at 440-576-9046.
