Fuel Theft Reported at Comfort Suites
Hotel guest reports vandalism and gas theft
A guest at the Comfort Suites reported someone broke his truck’s fuel pump and stole approximately one-quarter of his gas from the tank. The incident occurred overnight between May 10 and May 11 at the hotel on Creekside Drive. Police completed a criminal damaging and theft from auto report.
Bank Robbery Leads to High-Speed Chase
Suspect arrested after pursuit following Fifth Third Bank break-in
A man was arrested early May 16 after breaking into the Fifth Third Bank on Darrow Road and leading police on a pursuit. Officers responded to the bank around 1:48 a.m. and found a smashed window. Police located the suspect vehicle and began a chase that ended with the arrest of Tyrone Michael Brinkley. He was charged with breaking and entering, theft from a banking institution, fleeing and eluding, reckless operation, speeding and obstructing official business. Brinkley was transported to Solon Jail for video arraignment.

Resident files fraud complaint at police station
A Clarius Circle resident reported identity fraud May 16 at the Twinsburg Police Department. An officer met with the victim in the lobby and gathered information for the report.

Semi Driver Arrested for OVI on I-480
Truck loses tire, driver found intoxicated
Multiple 911 calls reported a semi-truck driving on its rims after losing a tire on eastbound I-480 May 11. Officers located the vehicle around 8:28 p.m. and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, McKinley Bates, was found to be under the influence and arrested for OVI. He also faced charges for unsafe vehicle, open container and refusing a commercial motor vehicle test. Bates was transported to Solon Jail.

Pennsylvania driver cited for suspended license, fictitious plates
An officer conducting speed enforcement on westbound I-480 May 17 stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver, William Lee Wiley of Pennsylvania, was found to have a suspended license and incorrect registration attached to the vehicle. He received citations for speeding, driving under suspension and fictitious plates.

Door-to-Door Solicitor Charged
Aurora man cited after ignoring permit warning
Spencer T. Armatage of Aurora, Colorado, was charged with soliciting without a permit May 12 after continuing to go door-to-door despite being warned by police. Officers first contacted him on Glenwood Drive and advised he needed a permit. Thirty minutes later, police received another complaint and found him on Parkview Drive. He was given a Stow Municipal Court date.
K-9 Unit Assists Streetsboro Police
Police dog alerts during traffic stop
Twinsburg K-9 Officer Encarnacion and his dog Caesar assisted Streetsboro Police with a traffic stop near State Route 14 and Walmart May 14. The police dog alerted to the vehicle, and Streetsboro officers conducted a search. Additional information is available through the Streetsboro Police Department.
