Akron, Ohio — Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE, has announced that second half 2024 real estate tax bills will begin mailing on Friday, June 13, 2025. Property owners are reminded that payments must be received or postmarked by Friday, July 18, 2025, to avoid a 10% statutory late payment penalty.
Military Exception:

Payment Options
Summit County offers several convenient ways for property owners to pay:
- In Person:
Payments can be made at the Fiscal Office (Treasurer Division), 3rd Floor, Ohio Building, 175 S. Main St., Akron. Office hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - By Mail:
Payments must be U.S. postmarked by July 18, 2025. Private postage meters are not valid for date verification. - Online or Phone:
Pay securely via ACI Payments, Inc. at this link. Have your parcel number ready. Fees apply: nominal fee for card payments; $1 fee for e-checks. - Drop Box:
Use the drop box on the 4th Floor of the Ohio Building (175 S. Main St., Akron). Open during business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overpayments will be applied to your next bill. - Participating Banks:
Pay at banks participating in the Regional Tax Collection System (listed on your tax bill). The bank must be located in Summit County. Check directly with your bank regarding hours and accessibility.
Need More Time to Pay?
The Tax Installment Program (TIP) allows homeowners to spread payments over time and avoid late penalties. To enroll, taxes must be current. Call (330) 643-2869 before the July 18, 2025 deadline to sign up.
