Stow Police Reports: Drug Arrests, Fraud and Menacing Cases

Crime activity spans from fraud cases to domestic incidents across the community

The Stow Police Department handled 21 incidents from July 1-8, with multiple arrests made for various offenses including drug violations, assault, and theft.

Arrests and Drug Violations

Officers made several arrests during the week-long period. On July 2, police arrested someone on Lynnwood Drive for disturbing the peace. Drug-related arrests occurred on July 5 at the intersection of Kent Road and Fishcreek Road, where officers found drug paraphernalia, an open container in a vehicle, and schedule I or II substances. Another drug arrest happened the same day at Kent Road and Verner Road for cocaine possession.

Additional arrests included assault charges on Fishcreek Road on July 5, shoplifting at a Kent Road business on July 7, and public intoxication on Kent Road on July 7.

Fraud and Identity Theft

Multiple fraud cases were reported throughout the week. Telecommunications fraud was reported on Fishcreek Road on July 1. Identity fraud cases occurred on Baird Road and Glen Valley Circle on July 2 and 3 respectively, involving the use of another person’s identifying information.

Domestic and Violent Incidents

Police responded to several domestic violence calls, including incidents on Powell Road in Kent and Stow Road. A menacing case was reported on Stow Road on July 5. Officers also handled a violation of protection order case on Ridgeline Trail on July 7, which included charges of menacing by stalking.

Property Crimes

Criminal damage occurred at the intersection of Fishcreek Road and Progress Park Drive on July 1. Theft cases were reported on Leewood Road on July 5 and July 7.

Other Incidents

Animal control handled two cases of dogs running at large on Norton Road and Darrow Road. Police also conducted a warrant service on Kent Road on July 8. An endangering children case on Leewood Road remains under investigation.
