THEFT CASES
July 17 – A Bedford woman lost her iPhone 16 valued at $1,400 after accidentally leaving it in a shopping cart at Giant Eagle on Aurora Road. The phone was tracked to the Pettibone Road area near Oakwood Village before it went offline. Investigation ongoing.
July 16 – Sierra Rose Ervin, 38, of Cleveland, was arrested at Miles Farmer’s Market on Miles Road after employees caught her concealing $80 worth of grocery items in her purse while paying for other items in her cart. She was charged with theft and taken to Solon Jail.
July 15 – A Solon woman reported more than $20,000 worth of jewelry missing from her home on Dorset Lane. There were no signs of forced entry, and she suspects a contracted service employee may be responsible. Investigation continues.
July 18 – Jesse Erlenmeyer, 36, of Solon, was arrested at the Solon Motel on Aurora Road after allegedly taking $87 from the bar’s cash register. The bartender caught Erlenmeyer behind the bar after leaving him unattended momentarily. The money was recovered and Erlenmeyer was charged with theft.
July 13 – Loss prevention at Giant Eagle on Aurora Road identified a repeat shoplifter who stole meat products on two separate occasions in July, totaling $558 worth of merchandise. Charges are pending against the 29-year-old Northfield man.
PROTECTION ORDER VIOLATION
July 14 – Nicola Farley, 61, of Solon, was arrested on Andre Lane for violating a protection order by repeatedly contacting his wife by phone. He was charged with violating a protection order and taken to Solon Jail.
WEAPONS OFFENSE
July 18 – Fred Allen Campbell, 43, of Cleveland, was arrested at Circle K on Aurora Road after allegedly threatening coworkers at Winston Products in Glenwillow while armed with a loaded handgun. Campbell had shown up to work intoxicated, was told to leave, then returned with the weapon. Officers found him at the gas station and discovered he was prohibited from possessing firearms due to previous convictions. He was charged with OVI, having weapons under disability, improper handling of a firearm, driving under suspension, and window tint violations. He also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on another OVI charge.
