TWINSBURG — A police chase came to a dramatic end early Monday when a suspect crashed into the Circle K gas station on Ravenna Road, causing significant damage to the facility.
The crash occurred at the Circle K in the 11100 block of Ravenna Rd. around midnight Monday, according to Cleveland 19 News reports. There are no reports of injuries, but there is significant damage to the gas station, including a smashed gas pump.
The incident concluded quickly after the collision. A witness told 19 News the driver surrendered to police immediately afterwards. A female passenger in his car was released.
Details about what initiated the chase or the charges the driver may face have not been released. The extent of damage to the gas station beyond the destroyed fuel pump is still being assessed.
