Domestic Violence
August 23 Keion Walker of Ravenna was arrested following a domestic violence incident. Officers responded to a physical domestic call and conducted a traffic stop after the suspect left the scene. Investigation revealed Walker had assaulted the mother of his two children, causing visible injuries including punching her in the mouth and stomach area. Walker was processed and transported to the Portage County Justice Center.
August 17 Keith Blankenship of Ravenna was arrested on felony domestic violence charges following an incident at a residence. Officers determined Blankenship was the primary physical aggressor who caused harm to the victim during a domestic situation. The charge was elevated to a fourth-degree felony due to prior domestic violence convictions.
Elizabeth Hawkins of Ravenna was arrested for domestic violence after threatening a male victim with a knife. The victim reported that during an argument, Hawkins took a knife from a knife block and made stabbing gestures toward him, causing him to fear for his life. The charge was enhanced to a second-degree misdemeanor due to a prior conviction.
August 12 Shauna Leckie and Gregory Leglise, both of Ravenna, were issued summons for disorderly conduct following a domestic dispute on Lake Street. Officers responded to reports of a verbal argument between the pair, who have been involved in numerous similar complaints. Both admitted to the frequent arguments and were issued mail summons.
Theft and Retail Theft
August 20 Jason Oblinger of Ravenna was charged with theft in connection with the alleged stealing of a 2009 Chevrolet Impala from a Myrtle Street residence. The vehicle’s owner was incarcerated when Oblinger allegedly removed it using a car dolly. Witnesses and surveillance footage supported the theft complaint.
Phenina Sanders of Kent received a summons for shoplifting at Circle K North after store surveillance showed her stealing candy items and placing them in a shoulder bag before leaving without payment.
August 18 Philip Bailey of Ravenna was arrested for theft at Giant Eagle after leaving the store with $171.45 worth of unpaid merchandise. Bailey admitted to officers that he had not paid for the items.
Drug-Related Arrests
August 20 Carlos Harrison of Kent was arrested on drug charges after being found with suspected methamphetamine during a warrant check. Officers located Harrison walking near Cedar Avenue and Sycamore Street, where he was found to have an active warrant through Portage County Sheriff’s Office. A bag of suspected methamphetamine was discovered during the arrest.
August 18 Maynard Bartholdi of Ravenna was charged with fifth-degree felony drug possession after officers found him holding a glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue. A field test yielded positive results for methamphetamine. Bartholdi was transported to the Portage County Justice Center.
Public Order
August 17 William Young of Ravenna was arrested on an outstanding warrant after being reported for urinating on a building in the city. Young was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Portage County Justice Center.
August 15 Gregory Davis of Ravenna was arrested during a traffic stop when officers discovered he had an active warrant through the Portage County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and took custody.
Warrant Arrests
Multiple individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants during the reporting period:
August 19
- Quinton Cleggett of Cleveland was arrested during a traffic stop for an active Cleveland Police warrant. Officers also discovered Cleggett was in possession of a firearm. He was transported to a halfway point for custody exchange and faces potential weapons charges for being a fugitive from justice.
- Brian Hartman of Ravenna was arrested at the fairgrounds when Portage County Sheriff’s Office officers found he had an active Ravenna Police warrant.
August 18
- Dawun Legion of Kent was arrested and transported to Portage County Jail on active warrants (processed twice on same date).
- Mark Sielaff of Akron was arrested by Portage County Sheriff’s Office on Ravenna Police warrants.
- Allyson Prunty of Ravenna was arrested during warrant service at her residence for an active Portage County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
August 15
- Willie Blake of Cleveland was arrested as a passenger during a call for service and transported to Portage County Justice Center on an outstanding warrant.
- Jawann Canty of Akron was arrested by Portage County Sheriff’s Office on Ravenna Police warrants.
August 14
- Lamaunz Lee Woodall of Kent fled on foot after officers attempted a traffic stop for outstanding warrants. Additional charges for obstructing official business and operating without a license are pending.
- Luke Duvick of Akron had warrants processed through the jail system.
August 12
- Kimberly Cramer of Canton was arrested by Portage County Sheriff’s Office on Ravenna Police warrants and transported to the Justice Center.
