Hudson Police Reports: Ice Cream Shop Break-in, Missing Person and Domestic Dispute

Break-in at Cold Stone Creamery Under Investigation Aug. 25

Hudson police responded to a burglary at Cold Stone Creamery on Park Lane Monday morning. Officers arrived at the ice cream shop around 10:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a break-in. The Detective Bureau investigated all leads but was unable to identify suspects. The case has been closed.

Woman Arrested in Domestic Dispute Aug. 26

Police arrested Justine Marie Culbertson of Barberton early Tuesday morning following a domestic situation on E. Sapphire Drive. Officers responded to the residence around 4:43 a.m. where a female was arrested for assault.

Trespassing Reports at Local Businesses Aug. 23, 26

Hudson police handled two separate trespassing incidents this week. Officers responded to CVS on Darrow Road Friday evening for a trespassing complaint. A second incident occurred Monday at a business on S. Main Street, where a criminal trespass report was filed.

Missing Person Located Aug. 23

Police investigated a missing person report Friday afternoon on Stratford Road. The case was resolved without incident.

Mental Health Crisis Responses Aug. 26

Hudson officers responded to two mental health-related calls Tuesday. The first occurred early morning on Stratford Road, while the second involved a suicidal individual at Hudson Elms assisted living facility on W. Streetsboro Street.

School Truancy Matter Resolved Aug. 22

East Woods Elementary contacted police regarding a truancy concern involving a 9-year-old student who hadn’t reported for the new school year. Officers located the family, discovering they had moved without completing withdrawal paperwork. The matter was resolved with assistance provided to complete proper enrollment procedures.

Welfare Checks and Civil Matters Aug. 21-28

Police conducted several welfare checks throughout the week, including requests at local businesses and residential facilities. Multiple civil matters were also handled, with residents seeking assistance with various non-criminal disputes.

Found Property Returned Aug. 28

A cell phone found at Veterans Way skate park was turned in to police and logged as found property.
