AI Summit Brings Business Solutions to Northeast Ohio

Regional chambers collaborate to showcase practical artificial intelligence applications

The Beachwood and Solon Chambers of Commerce will host an Artificial Intelligence Summit on Thursday, October 23, from 8 a.m. to noon at Tri-C’s Eastern Campus Mandel Theatre in Highland Hills.

The half-day program targets entrepreneurs, executives, tech innovators, marketing professionals, educators and business leaders seeking to integrate AI into their operations. Attendees will learn practical solutions for business growth and efficiency.

Chris Berry, President and CEO of OhioX, will deliver the keynote address. Berry leads the statewide nonprofit dedicated to establishing Ohio as a leading tech hub and has been featured in Forbes, CNBC, Wall Street Journal and FOX Business.

The speaker lineup includes Rob Buchwald, Founder and CEO of Akron Innovations, who will present on people-first approaches to AI adoption. Jeff Kavlick, CEO of Moreland Connect, will discuss innovative solutions for evolving client needs.

A panel discussion moderated by Jessica Colombi, Executive Director for Public Policy and Economic Development at Tri-C, will explore real-world AI applications across industries. Panel participants include attorney Alfred Cowger, author of “One Nation Under Algorithms,” Jeff Dennis of TRNSFRM, Rocco Cuffari of AHEAD Consulting, and Travis Grundke of Ashton Solutions.

“This summit goes beyond theory — attendees will walk away with tools and strategies they can immediately apply to improve their business operations,” said David Lapierre, Executive Director of the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce.

Marilyn McMillin, President of the Solon Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of understanding both AI opportunities and risks for employers and employees.

Registration costs $25 for chamber members and $35 for non-members. Participants can register at Beachwood.org or SolonChamber.com.

The event receives support from Moreland Connect, TechnologyXperts Inc., Verizon, Crown Castle, and the cities of Beachwood and Solon.

Catherine Bieterman, Economic Development Director for Beachwood, noted the city’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting local businesses through such events.
