DUI Driver Crashes Into Chillicothe Road House Suspect arrested after losing control of vehicle

Aurora police arrested Timothy Cross on charges of driving under the influence after his vehicle crashed into a house on Chillicothe Road early Aug. 17. The crash occurred around 1:56 a.m. when Cross lost control of his vehicle and struck the residence. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle sustained significant damage. Cross was transported to the hospital and later charged with DUI.

A routine traffic stop on Aurora Road resulted in drug-related charges Aug. 21. Officers stopped a vehicle and discovered the driver had multiple violations including drug and court-related charges. Khalia Smith was arrested on DUS, drug and violator compact charges.

A theft was reported Aug. 20 at a business on Gentry Drive where a shipment was stolen using a fraudulent carrier. The stolen items were shipped from CABMAT, and the carrier who picked up the package was later determined to be unauthorized.

Counterfeiting Incident Downtown Fake currency passed at local business

Aurora police investigated a counterfeiting incident Aug. 19 on Barrington Town Square Drive. A suspect attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at a local business. The owner had video evidence of the person who tried to use the fake currency.
