Stow Police Reports: Domestic Violence, Drug Offenses and Theft

Crime Activity Sept. 9-16

Stow police handled 35 incidents during the week of Sept. 9-16, with theft cases dominating the log and several domestic violence incidents requiring arrests.

Theft and Shoplifting

The majority of criminal activity centered around retail theft, with multiple shoplifting arrests at businesses along Kent Road. Officers made arrests at locations in the 4300 block of Kent Road on Sept. 10 and 11, with additional shoplifting incidents at businesses in the 4200 and 4240 Kent Road area. Theft from motor vehicles was reported on Darrow Road, and a theft case was also reported at a business on Fishcreek Road.

Domestic Violence

Police responded to several domestic violence calls during the reporting period. On Sept. 14, officers made an arrest on Kent Road for domestic violence involving strangulation and felonious assault charges. Additional domestic violence cases were reported on Marsh Road and Baird Road.

Drug Offenses

Officers made multiple drug-related arrests, including possession of schedule I and II substances. One arrest on Sept. 15 on Hudson Drive involved violation of a protection order along with drug possession and paraphernalia charges.

Other Notable Incidents

Police investigated fraud cases including identity theft on Meadowbrook Boulevard and telecommunications fraud on Graham Road. Officers also responded to harassment complaints, disorderly conduct calls, and handled juvenile complaints including truancy issues.

A curfew violation was reported early Sept. 16 in the Graham Road area.
