Solon Police Set Up Sobriety Checkpoint on Harper Road Tonight

Solon Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint tonight on Harper Road between U.S. 422 and Aurora Road from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The checkpoint aims to encourage safe and responsible driving while creating a safer environment for motorists, according to Sergeant Anthony Horvath.

The department recommends several alternatives for those planning to drink:

• Have a designated driver
• Call a cab or use a rideshare service
• Stay at your home or a hotel
• Call a sober friend or family member for a ride

The Solon Police Department operates as part of the Cuyahoga County Law Enforcement Task Force, a coalition of 45 law enforcement agencies working together to combat impaired and aggressive driving throughout the county.
