The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame launches its 2025 Fall Film Series this October, featuring four iconic films that showcase the powerful bond between music and comedy. The series celebrates the museum’s new exhibit “SNL: Ladies & Gentlemen…50 Years Of Music.”
The lineup kicks off October 16 at 7 p.m. with “Wayne’s World,” the 1992 comedy following Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar as they fight to save their public access show from corporate takeover. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey’s headbanging duo brought metal culture to mainstream audiences with their signature “Party time! Excellent!” catchphrase.
October 30 brings “School of Rock” at 7 p.m., starring Jack Black as wannabe rocker Dewey Finn who transforms elite prep school students into a legendary rock band. The film showcases Black’s passion for hard rock while delivering laughs about music education and following your dreams.
November 6 features “The Blues Brothers” at 7 p.m., the 1980 musical comedy that launched John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd on their “mission from god” to reunite their band and save an orphanage. The film includes performances by legendary musicians and remains a cornerstone of music-comedy cinema.
The series concludes November 13 with John Waters’ original 1988 “Hairspray” at 7 p.m. The Baltimore-set musical comedy stars Rock Hall inductees Debbie Harry from Blondie and Ruth Brown, following Tracy Turnblad’s quest for integration and dance floor stardom in 1960s America.
Additionally, the Rock Hall will host a special screening of “Lost & Found in Cleveland” when it hits theaters November 7. The locally-filmed comedy follows five different people over 24 hours as a televised antiques show visits Cleveland, offering what creators call “a comedic love letter to Cleveland and its people.”
All Fall Film Series tickets are available now through the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame website. Each screening begins at 7 p.m. in the museum’s theater.
