Hudson Police Reports: Mental Health Calls, Traffic Violations and Fraud Cases Highlight Recent Week

Hudson police responded to multiple incidents across the city from September 14-20, with mental health emergencies, traffic violations and fraud cases among the most frequent calls.

Mental Health and Medical Emergencies Police assisted with several mental health situations during the week. Officers spoke with a 21-year-old man about possible suicidal ideation on Brewster Drive September 14. Additional mental health assistance calls occurred on Cypress Point Drive and at Laurel Lake Retirement Center, where officers helped with a combative patient requiring medical evaluation. At Seton Catholic, police responded to an unruly student situation September 18.

Traffic and Transportation Issues School bus violations were reported twice during the week – once on West Streetsboro Street and another on College Street. A driver was cited for operating without a valid license during a traffic stop on East Streetsboro Street September 14. An abandoned vehicle was discovered in a private parking lot on Corporate Drive, while another disabled vehicle was reported on State Route 8 North.

Property and Fraud Crimes Identity theft reports were filed twice this week – one at Hudson Commons Drive and another at Nathan Court. Fraud was reported on Ravenna Street and Arborwood Drive. A resident turned in found credit cards at Barlow Farm Park. Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported on Tyre Drive September 18.

Domestic and Welfare Situations
A domestic situation was reported at Hudson High School baseball fields September 14. Officers conducted welfare checks on Herrick Park Drive and Colesbrooke Drive, including one requested by school officials to check on a student. A civil matter was reported on Omni Lake Parkway.

Other Notable Incidents Suspicious activity reports included juveniles on a bridge at Veterans Way and Milford Road, and an employee termination issue at a bus garage on Hudson Drive. Officers investigated possible intoxicated persons at Brubakers Pub on Darrow Road. A sudden death was reported on Sullivan Road September 16. A protection order violation was reported at the police station September 19.
