Northfield Village Police Investigate Theft, Harassment Cases

Department responds to medication theft, social media complaint and gaming voucher incident

Northfield Village Police handled several investigations between Sept. 21 and 28, including thefts and a harassment complaint.

On Sept. 21, officers responded to a report of harassment through social media. A resident reported his daughters were being harassed online, prompting an investigation.

Two days later, a resident reported stolen medication that had been delivered by mail. The victim received an email notification confirming delivery but discovered the package missing upon arriving home. The victim obtained a replacement through their provider, and the case was closed due to insufficient evidence.

On Sept. 26, police assisted fire personnel at an apartment complex where a male was found unresponsive. Officers confirmed the individual was deceased upon arrival. The Summit County Medical Examiner took custody of the body, and the case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

On Sept. 27, a man reported his voucher was stolen from a video lottery terminal while he took a brief break from playing.
